4BBB Foursomes

Tuross Head Ladies Golf Club held a 4BBB foursomes on Tuesday and the winners of the day were:
Leonie Snodgrass and Alison O'Connor
Runners Up were Gail Rogers and Lyn Benger.

Congratulations to Alison O'Connor, a new member, who broke her handicap from 44 to 35 at Moruya on Wednesday last week. Alison is also our Summer Cup winner.

Congratulations to Margaret Turner won 5 & 4 the final of the Moruya singles Knockout Matchplay competition.

Next week is a Par event.

Congratulations to Alison O'Connor who broke her handicap from 35 to 32. Alison broke her handicap the next day in Moruya to 31.

Moruya Challenge Bowl

Congratulations to the Moruya club on winning their Challenge Bowl.

A Tuross team of Averil Cox, Alison O'Connor, Vicki Williams and Margaret Turner came second just 4 points behind the winning Moruya team.

Congratulations to Leonie Doolan who won Division 3 with a score of 34 points on a countback.

Congratulations to Margaret Turner who won Division 2 with a score of 43 points. Margaret broke her handicap from 27 to 24.

The Visitor's prize went to Averial Cox with 35 points on a countback.

Overall winner was Vivienne Aird with 38 points

Winner of Division 3 was Judy Apps with 26 points

Good luck to our ladies competing at Narooma this week in the Far South Coast & Tablelands Golf Association Tournament.

Far South Coast & Tableland Golf Association Veterans competition last Friday at Tuross Head was won by Tuross Lady Gloria Marshall, with Marie Barnbrook winning her division and Vivienne Aird runner up.
Next week is our 2nd Medal Round.

Ruth Walsh Life Membership

Tuross Ladies were very pleased to present Ruth Walsh with life membership of the Golf Club in recognition of the years she has devoted to building and promoting Ladies Golf in Tuross.

Ruth has been a committee member and a tournament winner since 1987 and is well known in the district for her competitiveness and enthusiasm where ladies golf is concerned.

The third round of the Pennant Tournament saw Tuross Ladies 2nd grade team have a 4 and 1 win over Catalina Country Club and 3rd grade team also had a 4 and 1 win over Catalina Country Club.

Peugot Women's Classic

The Peugot Womens's Classic was held at Tuross Head Country Club on Tuesday 15th May, 2007
The winning team of Averial Cox, Pauline Nash and Jean Leighton now have the chance to even bigger and better things, the NSW state final, where they will set their sights for an all-expenses paid trip to the 2008 MFS Women's Australian Open to compete in the national final.
"Congratulations to the Tuross Head Golf Club champions and to all those who have taken part in the Classic," commented Rob Dommerson, Managing Director of Peugot Automobiles Australia. Stableford Event

Tuross Ladies played their first competition golf event for several weeks on Tuesday. Heavy conditions saw a small field of only 15 ladies who all enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with friends.
