Charity Day - 4 x person Ambrose

Tuross Ladies will hold the annual Charity Golf Day for Moruya Hospital on Tuesday 6th September. Entry is $10.00 per person, shot gun start at 9.00am. Get a team together or we will get one for you and come along and have some fun. No need for an official handicap just bring your own lunch and your golf clubs.
Trading table will open following golf.

Pennant Semi Final

Tuross played Bermagui at Catalina
Team of Averial Cox, Leonie Doolan, Pam Alexander, Judy Apps and Lyn Benger were defeated by Bermagui 3 to 2.
Bermagui went on to Defeat Eden in the final and win the Zone pennant

15 x Tuross Ladies competed at Pambula Merimbula in the FSC&TGA annual Tournament this week and our ladies won 12 x trophies.

Mixed Foursomes Championship

Tuross Ladies hosted the Tuross Mixed Foursomes Championship on Sunday which saw 36 starters and the winners were Brad & Leonie Doolan with 84 gross
Runners up were mother and son Pam and Ben Alexander with 88 gross
Nett winners were Lyn Benger and John Wagstaff with 66.4 nett
Runners up were Chris Wratten and Ken Brown with 67.5

Long Markers Day

Tuross Ladies had a Long Markers Day on Tuesday for golfers with handicaps between 30 and 45.
Visitors from Catalina Country Club and Narooma Golf Club competed along with the Tuross Head Ladies in 2 x divisions
Division One winner was Gail Rogers with 42 points, 1st runner up was Chris Wratten, 2nd runner up was Kay McLeod on a count back from Leonie Doolan
Division Two winner was Helen Clarke with 44 points, 1st runner up was Judy Apps and 2nd runner up was Jo Rummery on a count back from Jenny Wark.

Inaugral Coastal Challenge @ Mollymook

15 x Tuross Ladies competed in the first Coastal Challenge Event which was held at Mollymook this year.
The winning team and 5 x top scorers from Tuross were Ann Challenger with 38 nett, Averial Cox with 37 nett, Jo Rummery with 36 nett, Kay McLeod with 33 nett and Ruth Walsh with 33 nett.

Next year this event will be held at Catalina Country Club

Pambula-Merimbula Open and Challenge Bowl

Four Tuross Ladies travelled to Pambula-Merimbula to compete in the Open and Challenge Bowl on the weekend.
Leonie Doolan 41 points, Pam Alexander 39 points, Judy Apps 37 points and Jenny Wark 31 points were successful in winning the Challenge Bowl where 142 ladies from 19 clubs competed.
Leonie Doolan was Division 3 winner on Saturday and nett runner up in Division 2 on Sunday.
All enjoyed the weekend very much and can't wait for next year to defend the title.

Pennant Semi-Final - Tuross vs Pambula Merimbula

Tuross Ladies were narrowly defeated in the semi-final at Bermagui on Friday.
Our girls put up a tough fight agains a strong Pambula Merimbula team to lose 3 to 4. Several matches were decided on the 18th hole with all others making it to 16th or 17th hole. We gave them a scare. The result could have gone either way.
The playing team was supported by several team members who caddied and kept spirits up. Thanks to all supporters.

A forum will be held before the FSC&TGA meeting on the 9th July to decide on a format for next pennant season.

Friday 7th May, 2010 - Tuross vs Moruya 1 @ Catalina
Tuross Ladies Pennant team are winners once again in their final round of Zone 3 Pennant which was against a strong Moruya team. Only one round to go to decide the winner who will go on to play the winner of Zone 2.
