CONGRATULATIONS TO TUROSS! WINNERS OF THE 2011
NADER SHIELD

For the fourth time this century the Tuross Girls have won the shield.

Played over a gruelling two days the best of the best players from the far south coast district, compete in singles, pairs, triples and fours.

Up to 64 ends on Day One and 48 on Day Two and at this time of year...the wind plays havoc on the greens.

The District do a wonderful job in co-ordinating such a massive event which is played each year at various clubs. The teams consist of 10 players plus a reserve. This year there were no less than 88 bowlers covering three greens and the win could have gone to any of the clubs right down to the last minute when the district match committee, finally tallied to points.

It's great to see the shield displayed in the club for another year.
